It is/was planned for 2026. (Its 100 years anniversary). It is already magnificent….. It will be even better. There are also some very controversional ideasto clear the area around the cathedral.
The Sagrada Família not a cathedral, it’s a minor basilica. A cathedral isn’t just any big church, but the seat of the bishop or archbishop, and there’s normally only one by diocese.
Barcelona already has a cathedral, the Holy Cross and Saint Eulalia, and there’s no plans of replacing it with a new one for the moment.
it is estimated that the main structure of the Sagrada Família should be completed by 2026, and all the decorative elements by 2030/2032.
